An in-depth look into practice
Today, join us as we center our practice around the power of twisting.
Physically, twisting promotes healthy digestion, spinal mobility, and improved circulation throughout the body. As you move your body and connect with your breath, remain present as to where your twists emanate from. Rotating along the axis of your spinal column, do your best to activate your low core muscles and maintain a neutral lumbar spine. Work with the less mobile thoracic portion of your spine to generate more space between your vertebrae and increase mobility.
Each time we create purposeful compression in our bodies followed by mindful release, we make room to rinse away stored physical, mental, and emotional tension. Postures like Eagle, Garudasana, invite us to draw our expansiveness in closely to experience the boundaries of our physical form. We are given a chance to pivot our attention from the noise outside the world towards the silence that lives within.
Throughout your flow, we invite you to breathe in your potential for surrender. Notice what comes up for you as you move your body in a special way. May you continue to lighten the load, free yourself of the weight of judgment, and dive in to the evolution of your soul.
